January Calendar and Weekly Call Strategy

Go Team Go!  This is our year in Creative Memories and I am here to support and encourage you in 2012!  Leadership Convention in Orlando was a great time; networking with my CM sisters and learning some new strategies moving forward.  The theme of the weekend was Communication and Connection.  I'm excited to see this new strategy unfold in 2012 as we continue to rebuild the momentum and embark on a new journey with CM.

The design is simple but it will require commitment and dedication from all of us starting at the Home Office and ending with you, the consultant.  That's you and I and everyone in between.

How simple you ask?  Weekly Conference Calls!!  That's it, that's all!

This new communication process is about Influence and Accountability.  It's about partnerships with the Home Office, the Field Leaders and Consultants.  It's about creating stronger teams through connection and communication.

And I'm IN!  I've already set up my conference call line, hosted my first Leader call and our first Central Team call.  We are off and running.  I understand this is going to take a little time to get everyone on board and committed to a weekly call but I believe that this is the best way for us to stay connected, share pertinent weekly news, advertise upcoming team and corporate events, highlight current incentives, strategise business basics and most importantly Celebrate You!!

Possibly you are new to our team, maybe you are a remote consultant and find it difficult to attend Area or Unit Meetings, or it may be that you have decided that 2012 is your year for CM and the idea of weekly contact with other consultants and your team leader could be that catalyst that helps to move your business forward.  Whatever your situation is, wherever you are, these calls are for you!

It may be the first time you are seeing or hearing the term Elite Leader.  In Canada we have 22 Elite Leaders; these are leaders that have a Group Volume of $250,000 or more in team sales.  Currently we have approximately 130 Canadian Leaders and our goal is to see each one of you, consultants and leaders alike, reach  Elite Leader Status!

So what is an Elite Leader and what are her responsiblities?

An Elite Leader could be equated to the Captain of a Ship or a Office Manager.  Or an Elite Leader could be simply compared to being a "mom".  An EL is just someone with added responsibilities of taking care of her crew.  She is someone that doesn't jump ship when it starts to sink, she takes on the tasks at hand and offers solutions.  She is someone who delegates and challenges those that work with her and she's not afraid to take on the challenges herself.   And she is someone that encourages and inspires those around her.

An Elite Leader has the ability to exert influence and accountablity within her team through connection and communication!

Here is  an overview of how the weekly calls will work.

  • Every Friday the Home Office meets with the Canadian Field Team (Pierre, Linda and Jeanne) and the DSL's in the US
  • Every Monday at 10 AM the Canadian Field Team have a conference call to report to the Elite Leaders. (this new program has been implemented throughout North America)
  • Elite Leaders are required to host conference calls or one-on-one calls with their Team Leaders and Central Team. (currently my calls are scheduled for 10:30 AM Monday morning)
  • And finally Team Leaders are responsible to communicate to their team members, again either via conference call or one-on-one phone calls.

Between my Leaders and Central Team I have 66 consultants on that list.  It would be impossible for me to make 66 follow-up calls every Monday so I have elected to commit to weekly conference calls.  There is an expectation that whatever level you are at, you need to commit to your weekly call with your team.

And this is a good thing!  Don't look at this as a negative, this as a positive step towards growth, connection and continued success as a partner with Creative Memories.

It's a common practice of many businesses and companies throughout the world to meet weekly with staff and employees to plan, strategize and connect.  It's not a new concept but it is new to Creative Memories.  Let's get on board as they roll out this new format, let's be the team that embraces this new forum to connect and communicate together!

Since we have several of you that work during the day I am also planning a weekly evening call that will be offered to ALL of our team members.  View the calendar above for next weeks scheduled calls.  I will forward the number and access code along with a reminder notice atleast one day prior to every call.  Please put call times and dates on your calendar.  I'm committing to these calls weekly and will attempt to give adaquate notice in the event a call must be postponed or cancelled for any reason.

Always, always, cheering you on in your CM journey!  Thanks to all of you for an amazing 2011, let's move forward into 2012 with confidence in our company, in our leaders and in ourselves to be the best that we can be!
